My Style: Soft, Posed, and Pastel-Perfect
I’m known for my posed newborn photography, featuring carefully considered setups, soft pastel tones, and a meticulous attention to detail. Every session is designed to highlight your baby’s delicate features, tiny fingers, and sweet expressions. If you adore clean, classic images that exude warmth and timelessness, my style might be just what you’re looking for and I’d love to capture your special moments in this way.
If, however, you’re envisioning candid, documentary-style photos of your baby in their natural surroundings, my services may not align with your expectations. And that’s okay! The beauty of photography is that there’s something for everyone.
The Perfect Timing: Newborns Under Two Weeks Old
My sessions are designed for babies aged 7–14 days, 21 max. At this stage, newborns are still naturally curly and sleepy, making it easier to capture those iconic, posed shots. If you’re interested in a session, I encourage you to book early—ideally during your pregnancy—so we can plan for those precious first days after birth.
If your baby is older, don’t worry! While the poses may differ, I can still capture beautiful portraits that celebrate your baby’s unique stage.
Safety is My Top Priority
As a mother and a trained professional with over nine years of experience, I understand the importance of safety during a newborn photoshoot. I’ve worked with hundreds of families and have even taught safe posing techniques to other photographers. If you value the peace of mind that comes with knowing your baby is in experienced and gentle hands, I’m confident you’ll feel at ease during our session. I make is my priority to constantly check your baby from temperature, skin colour, breathing, keeping airways free and looking out for the cues and signs that your baby needs something. Safety continues at every moment.
A Stress-Free Experience for New Parents
Having a newborn can feel overwhelming, which is why I strive to make every session as stress-free as possible. My cosy Southampton studio is fully equipped with everything we need for a successful shoot—from props and backdrops to a comfortable space for feeding and changing your baby. You just need to bring your little one and relax!
If you appreciate being guided through the process while I handle the details, you’ll enjoy my approach. However, if you prefer to have more control over creative decisions, a different photographer may suit your preferences better.
Cherishing Milestones Beyond Newborns
While I specialise in newborn photography, I also love celebrating one-year milestones.
